Ok...I was a bag of nerves yesterday morning as i woke-up, opened the curtains and saw RAIN (& lots of it). It also crossed my mind that it was Friday the 13th whoaa! So i put my armour on and made my way to what i hoped would be the aptly named Sunflower Lounge, unfortunately though there was more RAIN! Sorry i'm digressing, this heavy bag of nerves were not needed as we had a fab night which included stage invasions and bands changing names - Grandeur Rat are now known as Yelps which i rather like.
Thank you's go out to Lady Fortune, Yelps, The Lusts and The Sunflower Lounge for putting up with us. Heres some pics:
LADY FORTUNE GIG DATES ANNOUNCED monday 04 june, 2007
Lady Fortune will be cramming in as many gigs as humanly possible over the next couple of months. It's national, so there are no excuses you have to go along and say hello ;)
We're putting on another Club Wanderlust night at The Sunflower Lounge, this time with our new signing Lady Fortune headlining and sets from Grandeur Rat & The Lusts. So expect fun & frolics all around.

The goddess of fortune has truely blessed us with the signing of Lady Fortune! The band hail from Telford and cite The Smiths to The Strokes and The Beatles to Belle and Sebastian as their influences.
The single is in vogue of their great press they've recieved, huge support slots and ever largening fanbase. Out in late June and comes as a limited edition slab of 7" vinyl. The band will be out on tour on the run upto the single. Expect some really good support slots.

The Butterfly have been hailed as one of the bands destined for big things in the May issue of the popular Leeds Guide. Leeds Guide have selected a few bands that are creating a bit of a stir in an attempt to find the second generation of New Yorkshire bands.

Alas, this means we wont be releasing the single We Love Japan anymore. However don't stress as we are currently working on our new release schedule, which is looking tantalisingly fantastic!
Still some singles left from The Butterfly's single, The Duke. Remember there limited to 500 copies and include a remix from none other than Talk Less, Say More!

What a night (sigh of relief and happiness). Couldn't have hoped for our launch night to go any better really...Thank you's go out to the Lady Fortune boys for a superb improvised set and complete professionalism. The Black Flash for being hard and sexy as per usual and The Butterfly for a set worthy of filling Wembley Arena.
Also, thanks to the PA man for his efforts, The Sunflower Lounge, Helen for being on the door and all our friends and girlfriends. Here's some pics of the packed gig.

The compilation is now available via our online shop, it's official release date is the 06th of november. you can purchase it from swordfish records in birmingham from that date or order off our shop page right now. we are really excited about the compilation and really hope we can help achieve something here in the midlands/ birmingham. we are now focusing on our singles release schedule.

Welcome to wanderlust records, the first installment of our home on the internet, this is place to view all the artists and releases on our amazing new record label as well as catch up with all the latest thrills from wanderlust records.
we are currently putting together a release schedule including a compilation as well as limited edition single releases. If you feel we should hear your music then access the contact page from the links above and read our demo policy and get in touch with us, we try our best to listen to everything that is thrown our way. the complilation release shall co-incide with some launch gigs involving the bands on the compilation. we still do have limited spaces available on the compilation so get in touch if you are interested and you have somehow avoided our a and r telescope.
